I chose “True Colors” because of how much my song, ‘Ikena loves it. We fell in love with the song from watching the movie “Trolls.” He and I would sing it together in the car at the top of our lungs. The message this song sends are all things I want my son to believe. To not be afraid, to be himself comma and to know that I will always love him for who he is the unconditional love that a parent has for their keiki (child) is so special, and this beautiful mele (song) truly represents that.
